Title 1 Summer Resources 2025

Happy Summer!

Check out these summer resources with your child/children, hang a few on the fridge to reference, and talk with your child about what simple reading and learning activities they’d like to try this summer. These are optional activities, but highly encouraged! Pick just a few of these activities that fit your family and interest your child. Even short amounts of time spent together reading or doing educational activities can make a big difference and get your child off to a great start for next school year!

  • Sign up for Summer Learning Tips texts! You'll receive three messages per week, featuring hands-on activities to keep kids reading, creating, exploring- and learning- all summer long! Text "READING" to (855) 773-1019 to get started.
  • Summer Learning Spotlight on Math & Reading
  • BOOK IT! App instructions- turn reading into Personal Pan Pizzas at Pizza Hut!
  • Reading Minutes Log. Can you read 1000 minutes this summer??
  • The final Title 1 Newsletter for the year, with evidence-based articles written just for parents, with articles about celebrating your child’s successes, ideas for planning family field trips, exploring science outdoors, and tips for improving the quality of family time.
  • Activity Calendars for June-August
  • Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Journal- read just 8 books, fill out the log, and pick out a book to keep at the end of the summer!

Check out the Goessel Public Library Facebook page regarding summer programming- more information is coming very soon!

Looking for yet another way to enjoy books together this summer? Watch and listen to books being read aloud by authors, celebrities, and regular ‘ol book lovers like you by going to YouTube and searching for the following channels: Brightly Storytime, MsBeckyAndBear'sStoryTime, KidTimeStoryTime, and StorylineOnline

I hope you have a healthy, happy summer together as a family, and that it is filled with sunshine, laughter, playing outside, and lots and lots of reading!

Happy Reading!
