Prepare for Launch!
The high school physics class took advantage of the beautiful fall weather on Monday to launch their rockets! Each pair of students had built their own rocket from scratch, and installed B6-4 rocket engines. The launch event was delayed several times due to wind and other weather conditions, but today was finally the big day! Both rockets launched on the first try, with one displaying a wild flight profile while the other went for the stars. The students will next be doing a series of calculations regarding their flight to determine the efficiency of their launch relative to the fuel available to the rocket.
