Is It Clean?
5th grade students constructed two different type of water filters to determine which one would be the best. Would layers of coarse or fine material better remove visible pollutants from the water? As you can see from the pictures, some kids didn't appreciate the smell of the pond water. Results showed that fine materials did a better job.
