New Class Member in 2nd Grade!

The Second Graders were extremely excited to welcome a new member to their class, a furry member that is. A gray hamster named Pepper joined the class on October 2. Mrs. Hiebert saw a note in the teacher workroom for a free hamster. It was "surprise week" and Mrs. Hiebert thought a pet would be a great surprise.

It was! Pepper was greated with many happy smiles. The class members take turns feeding and playing with Pepper. All the hamster books were gone from the library for about two weeks. Lots of "hamster learning" was going on!! The Second Graders look forward to spending the rest of the year with Pepper!
