Band Announcement for Threshing Days Parade
For all 6-12 band students, please read the following announcement from Mr. Taylor
Dear Goessel Band Members and Band Parents,
I am very much looking forward to our band members once again participating in this year’s Threshing Days Parade. Another strong showing at this parade will most certainly make our community very proud! And so, ALL of this year’s band students in grades 6 through 12 are strongly encouraged to participate. I understand that this parade takes place during the summer months, so participation is not required, but in order to have a GREAT band and support our town, it is encouraged. Here are the details:
THRESHING DAYS PARADE, SATURDAY AUGUST 6TH LINE UP @ HIGH SCHOOL – 9:00 AM START – 9:30 AM DRESS – ANY BLUE GOESSEL T-SHIRT (preferably the BLUE CREW shirt), BLUE JEANS (OR SHORTS IF OVER 80 DEGREES.)
REHEARSALS @ HIGH SCHOOL (please try to be at all rehearsals) WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3 @ 10:30-11:30 AM THURSDAY, AUGUST 4 @ 10:30-11:30 AM FRIDAY, AUGUST 5 @ 2:00-3:00 PM This year, the band will be performing two pep band pieces called “A Rock” and “Crunch TIme.” Band students will receive their music during the first rehearsal. If you have ANY questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I check my email frequently and that is usually the best method. PLEASE RESPOND VIA EMAIL IF YOU WILL OR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND. (First responders with the correct response win prizes...so act now!) Thank you and we will see you at the parade!
