USD 411 Bond Project

February 11, 2013

Quality education always has been and must continue to be a priority in Goessel Schools. In rural community and area like ours, schools are the lifeblood of positive activity. We have the opportunity and the responsibility to provide educational opportunities for more than 265 students in the District. The Board of Education has made facilities a top priority, carefully studying existing buildings, current and future needs, options and available resources to give all its children what they need to achieve their potential. When facilities are outdated or inadequate, effective teaching and learning become more difficult, and children and eventually the community are affected.

An incentive to complete the project now is the 40% assistance offered by the state of Kansas. This translates to nearly $1.3 million. Although the future is uncertain, it is likely that such aid will be eliminated in the future.
