Goessel Elementary Receives Governor's Achievement Award

The fourth annual Governor's Achievement Awards, honoring the top performing schools in the state have been released. Goessel Elementary has been honored as one of these top performing schools. Schools must 1) have achieved the Standard of Excellence in both reading and math on the 2011 assessments. 2) The school must have made Adequate Yearly Progress in both reading and math and one additional measure, and 3) the school must be in the top 5% of all schools in both reading and mathematics. There are 812 accredited elementary schools in Kansas and Goessel Elementary is one of the top 43 schools to receive this honor. Students, teachers and staff are to be credited for the outstanding results.
