5th Grade Students Learn How to Make Peppernuts

5th graders spent the last two Wednesdays getting into the
Christmas spirit by spending time with their Generation Bridge
partners at Bethesda. The first Wednesday was spent making
decorative Christmas boxes. On the following Wednesday,
everyone got busy and helped roll, cut and bake peppernuts.
The group then boxed up the peppernuts and distributed them
to residents who are not part of the Bridge program. Later, while
sharing Christmas stories the 5th graders and their partners
enjoyed peppernuts and hot chocolate.
