I Need My Monster

Ethan is used to having Gabe the monster under his bed every night, but when Gabe goes on a fishing vacation for a week, Ethan decides he needs to find a substitute monster. The trouble is that none of the new monsters have all of the qualities of Gabe. One monster doesn’t have scary claws, another doesn’t have a tail, and one is a girl! How will Ethan get any sleep without Gabe?

The reading level and illustrations are good for older readers, while younger readers will also enjoy the pictures without being too scared. This story also shows that while monsters under the bed may be scary, they serve a purpose to those who sleep above them.
