Baby Buffaloes are fun to see!

Baby Buffaloes a Highlight!

May 27, 2008

Mrs. Hiebert treated the 2nd graders to a fun and educational field trip on Tuesday, May 13. They visited Maxwell Game Preserve where they got to climb to the top of the look-out tower and get a good view of the plains. The students rode the tram to get a close look at the buffaloes. The highlight this year was seeing all the baby buffaloes.  They wanted to pet them because they looked so soft.

2nd Graders pose at the museum.

The group ate lunch and played in the McPherson park, after which they headed to the McPherson Museum. Students especially enjoyed dressing up in clothes from the “olden days” and enjoyed seeing the fossil giant ground sloth.  It was a very playful, but educational day!
