Kristin Unruh Receives Gold at State

On Thursday, April 3, Kristin Unruh competed in the STAR Events (Students Taking Action With Recognition) held at the Marriott Hotel in Wichita and received a gold medal for her efforts. This was the state competition held in connection with the FCCLA State Leadership Showcase at Century II the following day. Kristin competed in the Job Interview contest. Job Interview, an individual event, recognizes participants who use Family and Consumer Sciences and/or related skills to develop a portfolio, participate in an interview, and communicate a personal understanding of job requirements.
Kristin is a junior at Goessel High School and also serves as the chapter's president. Congratulations Kristin!
